NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ROSEBURG URBAN SANITARY AUTHORITY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 2016-01, SECTION 3; ESTABLISHING SEWER CHARGES TO BE LEVIED ON ALL USERS DISCHARGING WASTEWATER TO THE WASTEWATER SYSTEM.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, the Roseburg Urban Sanitary Board will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed amendment to the Ordinance establishing the sewer charge.

The proposed amendment will provide that the user charge for debt service and operations, including maintenance, and replacement of the treatment works shall be set by resolution adopted by the Board for each Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU) per month.

The current Ordinance provides that the only method of changing the existing Ordinance is by amending or rescinding the Ordinance.

At the public hearing, the Board will hear objections or concerns to the proposed amendment to the Ordinance that is proposing changes to the user charge be by Resolution. Written comments regarding the proposed amendment should be submitted to Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority before 4:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8th, 2023. All written and oral comments will be taken into consideration before a motion on the proposed amendment to Ordinance 2016-01.
